The movable  buttons on the shoulder strap  means you get an extra an 2” growing room , so increasing the  wear time before growing into the next size.
A patch pocket adds a non complicated finishing detail.Samples knitted on 5 mm  (US 8) needles, gauge test for your required needle size.Pictured samples are in warm winter wool and summery cool cotton.
